UPSC Engineering Service Examination Result 2016: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to declare the UPSC IES Result 2016. Over 2 lakh candidates have appeared in this examination. Engineering Service Examination 2016 was scheduled to be held from May 27 to May 29, 2016 for three days. The exam was held on for fill up for vacant posts including PH candidates between 16.01.2016 and 12.02.2016. UPSC IES exam was divided into four categories:
  1. Civil Engineering: Through this category, candidates will be selected for Indian Railway Service of Engineers, Central Engineering Service and Boarder Roads Engineering Services.
  2. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: Through this category candidate will be select in the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers, Indian Railway Stores Service, Indian Naval Armament Service, Central Power Engineering Service.
  3. Electrical Engineering: Through this category, candidates will be select Central Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Service, Central Power Engineering Service, Assistant Naval Stores Officer, Indian Ordnance Factories Service.
  4. Mechanical Engineering: Through this category, candidate will be select in Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers, Central Electrical & Mechanical Service, Indian Supply Service, Indian Inspection Service.

UPSC IES (ESE) Result 2016 Details

The UPSC Engineering Service Examination Result 2016 formerly upsc IES Result 2016 will be available on the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). UPSC IES Result 2016 will disclosed by UPSC between September and December 2016. Candidates should follow the below steps to get UPSC IES Result 2016:
  1. Log on to official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)
  2. On the home of UPSC website you will see a link to download UPSC IES Result 2016
  3. Download pdf file and check your roll number and name in the list of qualifying candidates.
  4. You can also see upsc ies cut off marks for every category (OBC, SC, ST).

UPSC IES (ESE) Cut Off Marks 2016

Candidates must be secure minimum qualifying marks / cut off marks in each section of the examination. Candidates belongs to General, OBC, SC and ST category must secure minimum 15% marks and PH Candidates minimum 10% marks in each of the three objective papers out of 600 marks, minimum qualifying marks/ standard in the written examination out of 1000 and the minimum secured marks by the last finally recommended candidates in final stage out of 1200 marks. UPSC IES Final Result 2016 will be available in pdf file. It will contain roll number and name of the candidate in final selection list name wise. The name in final list of upsc will be release only for the candidates who have been selected for Group A post by UPSC.
