UP ANM GNM Admission 2017 Through 12th (Inter) Merit in Government Colleges of Uttar Pradesh. The State Government of Uttar Pradesh has decided that Admission in Auxiliary Nursing Midwife (ANM) and General Nursing Midwife (GNM) will be based on marks obtained in 12th Class. This procedure will be follow to admission in Government Colleges of State Uttar Pradesh. Government said that this procedure has been followed due to starting the session and admission process fast. And they also aided that the conducting the entrance examination take more time in admission.

Now Uttar Pradesh Government changed the result for admission to ANM, GNM & Health Worker Course in UP State Government Medical Colleges. Earlier the admission in above mentioned courses conducted through written test. The ANM GNM Entrance Test conducted by recognized university/ institution. After that conducted central counselling for admission through merit.

Form the year 2012-18, now admission to ANM GNM Courses conducted through 12th Class Merit List in Government Medical Colleges. Government said that earlier the admission process through written test take long time. Now there will be organization need to accept online form and create the central counselling. Thus the time to preparation of examination and conduction process will be reduce.

Eligibility to Admission in ANM GNM Courses

The eligibility to admission in Auxiliary Nursing Midwife (ANM) and General Nursing Midwife (GNM) is Intermediate (12th) from recognized board and institution. General & Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates are need to have minimum 45% marks in 12th board and SC/ST candidates are need to have 40% marks in 12th board examination. Candidates must obtained minimum 17 years of age till 31st December on the year of admission.

The courses of General Nursing Midwife (GNM) is for 3 years & 6 month while Auxiliary Nursing Midwife (ANM) is 2 years regular courses. The institute must approved from Nursing Council of India as well as State Nursing Council.
